What's for Dinner?

Last night we had White Chili, cornbread, raw carrots, and fresh strawberries for dinner. Wes really loves this chili, and the spicier it is, the better he likes it! Last night's was just about right for my taste. I added a cup of shredded cheddar cheese to the cornbread batter. Although it was good, it didn't taste any different than regular cornbread. Any ideas for jazzing up cornbread?

Susan,
This is Lora from MIHM and from way down here in Texas. I love both of your blogs and want to tell you how much they encourage me. I have a recipe for Mexican Cornbread that has meat and cheese in it, but it's really a main dish. If you'd like, I'd be happy to share. I have also seen people put peppers like green chilies and jalepenos in their cornbread. Let me know if you'd like that recipe.

I also see that you like Spurgeon, he's one of my favorites!! I'd love to know more about your ministry up there. You can contact me through my website if that's easier.

Oh, Lora K. I have a 'mexican casserole' recipe that, from what I've saw with other recipes, is very similar to yours, ohh, it is delicious!

Guess I don't have any secrets to cornbread, sugar, cheese & corn kernals are some ideas, if you don't already add those.

Good luck, Susan!
